Our Role In Cultivating The Soil Of Our Children's Hearts
Show notes
About This Episode Parenting is not always easy, yet it is a worthy and noble task. In this episode we look at the Parable of the Sower and ask how each kind of soil got that way, and what that means for us as parents. We can't save our children, but it's our job to work the ground of their hearts so they're ready to receive the gospel. Drawing on Deuteronomy 11:19 and Proverbs 22:6, we share practical ways to do that: teaching the Bible throughout the day, giving kids opportunities to pray, teaching them who God is, modeling repentance and redemption, and living out our faith. Our garden, hard soil, and sunflowers following the sun help paint the picture.
