God's divine power has granted us everything that pertains to life and godliness through the knowledge of Christ, and He gives it to us through His precious and very great promises. They talk about the transforming power of a renewed mind, why the promises of God do us little good if we don't know them, much like a forgotten hundred-dollar bill, and then walk through specific promises every believer can stand on, because all the promises of God find their yes in Him.
