About This Episode Aaron and Jennifer Smith start season four by sharing the story of their first home birth, which happened in the middle of the COVID pandemic. They had planned a hospital birth but held that plan open-handed, and when hospital protocols changed at the last minute, God opened the door for a home birth with a midwife who normally didn't take late clients. Jennifer shares how she prayed for a different person through each contraction, including children facing abuse during lockdown, and how she worshiped through labor, singing In Christ Alone as baby Edith arrived on her due date, with four-year-old Olive encouraging her. It's a story of trusting that many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.
