About This Episode Spiritual leadership, or spiritual headship, in the home comes from the idea that God designed marriage to operate in a certain order, and His design, when walked in, comes with blessing and security. In this episode Aaron lays out seven traits of a spiritual leader, rooted in Ephesians 5:23 and in authority that flows from God's Word rather than from a husband's demands. We talk about generosity, encouragement, leading by example, teaching the Bible to your kids, keeping an even temperament, taming the tongue, and seeking God's kingdom first. Jennifer adds practical encouragement for wives who long for their husbands to lead spiritually.

Even temperament — Being a thermostat that sets the climate instead of a thermometer that reacts to it. The tongue and the kingdom — Controlling what you say and seeking God's kingdom first. For wives — Encouraging a passive husband with earnest biblical questions rather than criticism.
