29 Marriage Devotional Unveiled: The Freedom to Be Fully Known

Show notes

About This Episode What does it look like to be unveiled, fully known and no longer hiding, before God and before your spouse? In week 29 of the Marriage After God devotional series, Aaron and Jennifer Smith bring together two chapters: walking in victory from Husband After God and being unveiled from Wife After God. They start with what Christ accomplished on the cross, walking through Ephesians 2, Romans 8, and the torn temple veil in Matthew 27, then share a wedding-day picture of a veil being lifted and what it says about intimacy. The second half gets honest about the daily fight: belief versus subtle lies, recurring temptation, Aaron's freedom from pornography through 1 Corinthians 10:13, Romans 7 and Galatians 5 on flesh and Spirit, and real moments of parenting, disrespect, and forgiveness. It closes with discussion questions, a quote from Marriage After God, and a call to memorize 2 Corinthians 3:16–18 and Romans 6:6.
