22 Marriage Devotional: Why You Should Pray for Your Marriage Every Day
Show notes
About This Episode Daily prayer is one of the most important habits a married couple can build. In this devotional, we talk about why prayer is non-negotiable for protecting a marriage against trials, temptation, and spiritual warfare. Prayer is not a way to control outcomes or treat God like a genie; it aligns our hearts with His will and draws husband and wife into unity. We walk through the threefold cord of Ecclesiastes 4:12, the story of Elisha praying for his servant's eyes to be opened in 2 Kings 6, and James 5, where Elijah is described as a man with a nature like ours. We also share a testimony of God's provision in Malawi. Whether your prayers are long or short, consistency and a humble heart are what matter most.
