18 Marriage Devotional: Building A Resilient Marriage

Show notes

About This Episode Every marriage will face trials, so how do couples get back up? In this devotional, we define resilience as the ability to recover, and we remind each other that we are finite people who can't control everything. Jesus told us we would have tribulation, but to take heart because He has overcome the world. We lean on 2 Corinthians 4, Romans 8, and 2 Peter 1:3 to fight the lies of weakness and failure with God's word. In the second half, we talk about the power of words, how a simple "you can" or "you can't" shapes outcomes, and why encouraging your spouse is a real weapon against discouragement.
