Fighting for Your Family w/ Pastor Craig Thompson
Show notes
About This Episode Aaron sits down with Pastor Craig Thompson to talk honestly about the tension and blessing of balancing ministry with marriage and family. Drawing from his book Fighting for Your Family, Craig explains that the real enemy in our marriages is not the person who sleeps beside us, and walks through three fronts of spiritual warfare: the devil, the world and our own flesh. He shares how adopting their two youngest children exposed how selfish he and his wife could be, why winning a battle against your spouse is really losing, and how small, daily choices build a family's spiritual health the way consistent exercise builds physical health. They close with a call to stop crowdsourcing our families online and to get plugged into a healthy local church and small group.
About Craig Thompson Craig Thompson has pastored Malvern Hill Baptist Church in Camden, South Carolina, for more than 18 years. He and his wife, Angela, have been married 20 years and have four children, the two youngest through adoption.
