08 Marriage Devotional: How Confidence Contributes To A Stronger Marriage

Show notes

About This Episode Christ alone deserves the throne in our lives. In this devotional, we challenge each other to lay down anything we've elevated above Him and to find our worth, value and identity in who He is. Jennifer talks about confident worthiness for wives and why looking for value in self-reliance, fashion, family or even a husband always leaves us disappointed. Aaron talks about bravery for husbands: fighting the good fight of faith, opening the Bible and praying out loud for your family even when you feel unequipped, and remembering that the real battle is spiritual. Both flow from the same source, confidence in God, and both are threatened by the same obstacle, selfishness. When we honor Christ as our ultimate authority, we experience the fullness and freedom found only in Him.
