Spiritual Warfare Today, Common Marriage Temptations, The Power of Belief - w/ Tilly Dillehay

Show notes

About This Episode Aaron sits down with Tilly Dillehay, author of My Dear Hemlock and Seeing Green, to talk about spiritual warfare and the everyday temptations that work against Christian marriages. Tilly was raised in the church, apostatized in college, and was converted at 22 through two weeks of counseling in a small Tennessee church where she is now a pastor's wife. Her book My Dear Hemlock, modeled on C.S. Lewis's The Screwtape Letters with a female patient and feminine demons, exposes temptations like resentment over lost courtesies, believing you married down, phones that pull you out of the road of time, and withholding gratitude. Tilly and Aaron discuss avoiding both ditches when it comes to demons, why they are limited and must ask permission as in Job, and how confession and believing God's Word bring freedom.
