The connection between the Jewish temple and the Church

About This Episode We are the temple of God, the place where God dwells on earth. In this episode we trace God's dwelling place through Scripture, from the tabernacle in the wilderness to the temples built under Solomon and Herod, and look at how their design echoed the Garden of Eden. Then we explore how the temple finds its fulfillment in the church, all believers, Jew and Gentile alike, built together as living stones. We walk through the prophecies that show Gentiles were always part of God's plan, the double fulfillment of God's promise to David, and what the church is meant to be doing now, growing in number and maturity as each member uses their gifts. We also draw on insights from the Bible Project.
