8 of 8 - Jesus Understands Your Temptations - Turn to Him Through Prayer

Show notes

About This Episode This episode concludes our eight-part series walking through the Lord's Prayer as we finish with Matthew 6:13. We talk about Jesus' personal experience with temptation and why being tempted is not the same as sinning, so the shame that comes with temptation is not from God. Looking at James 1, we see that temptation comes from desires already within us, and we look at how Jesus was tempted in the wilderness in areas of real desire. We discuss not walking down roads where we know we will be tempted, the way of escape God promises, and how God has not only dealt with the consequences of sin but made a way for us to walk in holiness. Finally, we talk about the power of prayer as daily reliance on God and how prayer transforms us as we submit to Him.
