6 of 8 - Can We Live Without Prayer: How To Pray For Your Marriage Lessons And Principles From Jesus

Show notes

About This Episode In this episode, we focus on Matthew 6:11, where Jesus teaches us to pray for our daily bread. Just as we need to eat every day, we need daily spiritual nourishment from Jesus, the bread of life. We talk about how going without God's Word and prayer leaves us spiritually starved, irritable and focused on ourselves, and how that creates strife in marriage when we look to each other instead of to God to fill us. So can we live without prayer? We can survive, but we cannot thrive. We encourage you to make Bible reading and prayer non-negotiable daily habits, to pray as you read Scripture, to bring your marriage before God, and to intercede for others. Prayer displays faith and obedience, and a marriage that relies on God for everything is a marriage that thrives.
