4 of 8 - Understanding Who It Is You Are Praying To
Show notes
About This Episode Up to this point in Matthew 6, Jesus has taught about how and when to pray, but in verse 9 He finally begins the prayer itself: "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name." In part four of our eight-part series, we ask a simple question we rarely stop to consider: who are we actually praying to? We talk about the intimacy of approaching God as a good Father who has made us His sons and daughters, and the reverence that "hallowed be your name" calls for. We also address the insecurity many feel coming to their heavenly Father because of how they experienced an earthly father, and remind you that through Jesus we can come boldly. When we know who God is, we can trust Him with every need in our marriage.
