2 of 8 - The Power Of Secrete & Private Prayer: How To Pray For Your Spouse

Show notes

About This Episode Last week we asked why Jesus taught us to pray; this week we ask when. We begin with 1 Thessalonians 5:17 and the call to pray without ceasing, a posture of constant communion with God wherever you are, whether at home, driving, or at the gym. Then we turn to Matthew 6:6, where Jesus tells us to go into our room, shut the door, and pray to the Father in secret. We talk about carving out undistracted time with God, even if that means waking early or staying up late, and why the secret place is about praying for God alone. We share two ways we see that room in marriage: a place you go with your spouse, and a place you go for your spouse. We close by praying "Praying for Each Other" from The Marriage Gift.
