About This Episode When a husband prays for his wife, he opens the gates of heaven and carries her into the throne room of God; he prays for himself, since they are one; and he lays himself down in order to raise her up. The question is, will he pray? In this episode, Aaron and Jennifer Smith look to Jesus, the ultimate intercessor, and His prayers for Peter in Luke 22 and for His followers in John 17. From the High Priestly Prayer they draw out what husbands can pray for their wives: unity, protection, sanctification, joy, and mission. They offer specific prayer points and encourage husbands to lead spiritually by praying privately for their wives' growth instead of trying to control or manufacture change.
