The Importance Of Pacing Ourselves For Creating More Peace in Marriage
Show notes
About This Episode Every marriage, including Aaron and Jennifer's, desires peace. Ultimately peace comes from Christ Himself, but there is also a kind of peace that comes from having a good and healthy pace in life. Bad routines, trying to do too much at once, and lofty expectations of ourselves or others can push us into an unsustainable pace, and they admit they are there right now. Drawing on what Jennifer learned coaching rowing and CrossFit about reserving energy for longevity, they talk through practical ways to find a healthier rhythm, including keeping the main thing the main thing and making room for rest the way Jesus told His disciples to rest. Aaron's flooded-garage story is a reminder that small, consistent steps beat large jumps of change.
