Date night used to be a whenever-it-happens thing for us, until friends who guarded their Tuesday date night inspired us to make Tuesday ours. In this episode we share why intentional, calendared date nights keep couples from drifting apart when life gets busy, and why simply having it on the calendar makes it happen more often. Then we share nine fun and creative date ideas, from cheap and simple to a little more adventurous. Our heart is not only to give you ideas but to encourage you to be intentional about connecting each week in your marriage.

Coffee and cards — A slow card game like rummy so you can actually talk. Picnic in the park — Takeout or nostalgic snacks, a blanket, and some people watching. Childlike fun and playing house — Trampoline parks, roller skating, and touring open houses and model homes. Hike a new trail — Fresh air and a long walk somewhere you've never been. Do good together — Volunteering, or a bake and take to bless your neighbors. Progressive dinner — Appetizer, main course, and dessert at different spots, or a progressive dessert night.
