About This Episode This week we highlight six callings God has for every marriage: prayer, love, forgiveness, trust, purity, and generosity. Lots of people wonder what their calling is, but we believe every Christian marriage already has a specific purpose. We share personal stories and struggles from our own marriage, the importance of each calling, and how each one impacts the marriage relationship and beyond. For each calling we share Scripture, testimony, and application. These callings are foundational for marriages to experience something extraordinary. Our hope is that couples would evaluate their marriage to see where they are excelling and where they need to grow. We hope this first episode is both encouraging and challenging.

About Aaron & Jennifer Smith Aaron and Jennifer Smith are the founders of Marriage After God and authors of Husband After God, Wife After God, and Marriage After God. Married since 2007 and raising six children in Bend, Oregon, they started Husband Revolution and Unveiled Wife to share what God was teaching them, not from a place of having it figured out, but as fellow travelers pointing couples back to Jesus.

Love — Love as a command, not just a feeling. Forgiveness — How withholding forgiveness can become a tool to control your spouse. Trust — Trusting God with your spouse, and tearing down walls to build a bridge. Purity — How impurity damages intimacy, and the freedom Christ offers. Generosity — Choosing to give even while paying off debt.
